What is a pilgrimage?
A pilgrimage is a journey to a holy place or traveling to commemorate great events in salvation history. It is an opportunity to bring our petitions, praise and thanksgiving to a place blessed in some way by the presence of God or his saints. It is also a symbol of what our lives should always be.
Pilgrimage is "life writ small." Pilgrimage is a short and intense period of time filled with joys and blessings in which we can be reminded that indeed our entire life is a journey toward God our Father.
Gain a new understanding of your faith.
Imagine celebrating Holy Mass at the tomb of St. Francis of Assisi or assisting in worship as your choir sings its dulcet tones at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Try to picture immersing your student group in the experience of a lifetime in Paris or London.
